Very nice, I like it. you managed to get a finish and shine the likes of which I can only dream of
-
Yes Clive I totally agree with essex2visuvesi, that's an absolutely stunning finish on your very fine model. Well done you and welcome to the madhouse. Kind regards, Tony. :-))
-
Essex...you are awful, but I like you
-
Was that built from a kit or plan?
Its certainly one for the "to build one day" list
-
Many thanks for the kind words regarding my woody. It was a plan from Marine Modeling the SG&K gentlemans run about, they sell a plan and wood set,the wood set is laser cut keel and frames. You will find if you buy the wood pack some of the frames in the stern are not quite right and need some packing you will also have to cut a slot in the frame forward of the rudder to get the pushrod through.l would suggest fitting the rudder before fitting the sides, making sure the pushrod works properly .The other thing l found was measurements on one drawing did not tally with the other, but none of this should cause a problem for a scratcher.
If l can l will post some more pictures, but it will have to be in about a fortnight as l am off to Cornwall at 4.30am tomorrow.
