Title: Podracer
Post by: Lancejsy on October 05, 2012, 09:52:38 pm
Hello all. I hope this is the right place to ask this question. Where would I get a brushless pod racer other then hobbeking. I get all my bits from hobbieking but I want one asap, and HK take time, here in Jersey I run a HK small bolt hydro and I know that there are 4 on this rock. Jersey model boats has new got new water which is ideal for fast electrics because of the length of the reservoir. We don't have any model boat shops on the rock and the fast electrics is already taking off. I need one NOW!!!

Here you go, at the bottom of the page:

https://astecmodels.co.uk/catalog/index.php?cPath=97&osCsid=371f2918541957c8f6e1d4ff7b4c07df

I got one a couple of weeks ago, fast delivery, just need to check all the fastenings, chuck in an rx and battery, fit and tape on the top and away you go!

I am using a 3s 1300mah lipo, run time a little short, but is ok if you have multiple batteries

Its quick, stable and is set up ready to go. Just needs painting at some time.

I got a HK  F1 Hornet but it only lasted 3 minutes before the esc went pop.

So I put a 4122kv and a 150 esc so it may be on the pond this coming weekend.

The original motor was a 2858-1400kv Brushless outboard motor.

This ETTI is a 28584122 kv so hopefully it should jump up on to the plane now.

Lastly I had to cut some of the plastic cowling to get it all to fit. I have a you tube clip but cant remember if it has the set in it or the old set up
just go and type jerseymodelboats and it should should work.

Where did you get your podracer and what did it come down with.
Cheers  Lance.

We don't have any model boat or model shop on this rock so the only way to get what you want is to surf the forums until you find what you want.
