Title: Sirmar DDG 82 ( or close enough for me)
Post by: dmsywg on May 10, 2007, 04:35:59 am
" Holmsey" wanted more pictures so I got my camera out this evening and went crazy. It's 98% finished got the heli deck netting to put on and then the electrics.  Had it in the neighbors swimming pool and I need quite a bit of ballast. I just hope I'm not too top heavy.

Great looking Burke shipmate, but, I must point out it is near enough impossible to make one of these top heavy unless you use concrete or solid lead for the superstructure.

Well thanks guys. Yep the Ford is mine in the background.  I have use it to transport the boat since it wont fit into the car. Guess I'll
have to biuld some sort of crate for it

Looking at her beam and draught, topweight shouldnt be much of a problem as Paul has already said.
And he has built them.

Hi Dave
Great pictures of a great model. You must be very pleased! You must have worked hard to do it that quick.
Looking forward to getting mine close to that.
