Hi all
Just found this on the BBC news. Are these two fishermen lucky or what ?

yep, watched that on the news at lunchtime - man, that lad was very lucky to free himself when the boat went down - it was good however, to see the liferafts did what they're supposed to do i.e. float free of the vessel - hydrostatic release ?

Regards,

Ray.

Shouldn't that white liferaft box have deployed automatically?

When the hydrostatic release lets the canister rise to the surface, the short cord shoud trigger the inflation of the raft then release it so it does not get taken down by the sinking ship
