I've just bought a Trumpeter 1:200 Bismarck. Problem - I haven't told the wife...yet
-
Ask her of she'd like to get you a plastic kit for Christmas.

So, is the delay because you blew the budget, or because you bought a boat?

do like I do with telescopes, just add it to the collection, then if she asks just answer "what that old thing, I've had it for years" ----
Just like they do with new shoes...

It's a huge box and is in the back of the garage. She-who-must-be-obeyed doesn't seem to have noticed the box amomg all the other junk, so far.
I bought it from Plastic Pastimes in Poole and got it in an enormouse brown cardboard box with the Trumpeter box inside, so it's not apparent that it's a boat kit. Haven't even taken it out of the first box yet!! Want to finish my Trumpeter 1:350 Hood first.

ah then by the time you get it out of the box, you will truthfully be able to say you have had it for years.
