Title: The rain in Spain....
Post by: Footski on November 17, 2012, 04:36:28 pm
These photographs show the tunnel that connects my home to the rest of the world. One hour earlier and it was dry. The road sign shows a depth approaching six feet! Yes we have had a drop of rain...I have not seen the like in 14 years...

I hope the wine does not run out before it dries...

Hi ya Barry, hope your family and house are high and dry.    Looking at the signpost it gets a bit worrying.

Have a quick search on Ebay for NOAH's ARK plans 1:1 scale.      Airdrop the plans in maybe ;-) have you not got a new model you can test out in that water for the time being?

aye

I take it you must live on the plain then Barry,
I do hope it stops soon for you.
 Regards Howard.

No Howard, that is a myth. I live in the mountains no where near a plain....

Hi Barry

I am due back out shortly for a few weeks and have been watching the weather in Malaga province. After the driest winter in seventy years the weather has been rather unsettled for several weeks now. After floods in Alora/Pizarra in September and now yourselves the reservoirs must be virtually full!

Regards

Howard

Howard,

The reservoirs are all very full. Malaga centre is severely flooded and the water levels near to us have risen again overnight. The main road through our valley has begun to break up too, which really will cause us problems. At least we have no more wet stuff forecast for a few days.... <:( <:(

Barry

Sorry to hear about the road problems. Hope that the water levels are now dropping and that the weather returns to normal for both our sakes!

Good to hear you have managed to stay dry.
We just started a full week of heavy rain and wind in the NW USA,...

Very good Umi. I hope you stay dry.

Nice and sunny today, but water levels have not gone down and the damage to the roads looks bad. More rain forecast for Wednesday.....

No thankfully. It apparently got stuck in a couple of feet of water and the driver went for help, but a half hour later it had totally disappeared   :o :o :o

Doesn't matter what stupidity mankind gets up to, Mother Nature always comes back to remind us who's boss!

Keep safe...and remember that puddle might be deeper than you think!
