Hi all
thought I would post some pics of my newly completed build of the Engel Disney Nautilus. it was my winter project but it took only 5 weeks taking my time. First sailing was on Sunday 18th November, only a couple of hitches but sails and submerged well.

Cool! It's the sort of thing I'd want if I had the time and inclination torwards subs, that or a SHADO Skydiver

thought it would take months took 7 days to put on 6000 rivets after that it was childs playc %% %%

i used 3mm acrylic jewels i got from a local haberdashery at 1.29 for 175 and stuck each one on with industria grade superglue

They are really effective... great idea. By the way the sub looks really good. :-))

It's sitting very high in the water in the last two pictures, did you manage you get that displacement with the two 500ml tanks supplied with the kit, or were the pictures taken before final ballasting?

The last 2 pictures were taken a week earlier without ballast or tanks fitted. It was a test sail to check that there was no leaks and the rudder worked as it should. The main electronics were fitted later just in case they got wet from a leak. The first pics everything is installed and ballasted which i must say triming was straightforward with the proportional ballast tanks

That makes sense. Couldn't understand how you got that waterline with 1 litre of displacement!
