Title: Graupner 900 motors
Post by: irishcarguy on November 30, 2012, 08:08:32 am
I am searching for a pair of Graupner speed 900 Motors. It seems that all our regular suppliers have no stock at present. I would prefer New but might consider very good used ones. I want to run 18V's, is there any other motor that is as good or better, thanks ahead of time for any help I may get. Mick B.

Stav,

Unfortunately, like a lot of ebay and the like links, that are posted in response to questions, the supplier often does not post outside the UK, maybe sometimes to the EU but not overseas.

So Mick needs an overseas supplier.

Thank you both for your replies, it looks like from the response that it is worse than looking for Hen's teeth.Mick B.

Where would you start with a scale type prop for a displacement hull?

Hi Mick,If you need power why not go brushless.
Just a thought.
Almost all my boat are,and they range from 36" lifeboat up to 4.8 metre 1:32 scale type45.
Hobbyking do a good range at good a price
kind regards
Alan

Thank you Alan, I did consider brushless, but I am in the middle of nowhere & I am relatively new to model boating so I wanted to avoid batteries that you need to take a lot of care of. I also have all the equipment/electronics for the build based on using a 900 Graupner setup. Mick B.
