Title: Photo Competition 2012 - Christmas Lights!
Post by: Martin (Admin) on December 03, 2012, 11:20:06 pm

I just invested in a new camera, anyone got an idea for a Photo Competition?

I'm thinking:
1. Doesn't have to be model boat related.
2. Photos must be taken between Dec 1st and Jan 31st.
3. Photo must be taken by you.
4. Prize will be Kudos .... or if the budget extends, a small box of After Eight's!

.... do we need a theme?

No point.... no amount of leds and twinkling light units will match this:-

Thanks for that - awesome. It must be great to see it with the naked eye - a lifelong ambition of mine.

Mind you Christmas leds do come in handy for illuminating the inside of the hull!

Are you sure that isn't the inside of Guy's electric meter cupboard?

This one doesn't follow the theme for the competition, but it does illustrate some of the attractions of our hobby - a beautiful location, some mates for a natter and some models to watch :-))

I will agree with that, a beautiful photo! where is it?
Martin, you will have to start another competition for the most scenic boating lake!

Its called Cawcutts Lake just off the A14 to the north of Cambridge. The Cambridge Model Boat Club sail there. Its actually a gravel pit and owned by the Chivers Jam people who use it for irrigation. We have been suffering from reduced water levels for the past three years.
