All respected Friends.. i consider this model as "The Model of the Year 2012".. because i likes her much.. in look and performance.. it was my long dream to realize a POLICE CRUISER to my collection.. now she is a stunning performer and head turner..
now again i am starting from "0".. and this one is based on my imagination.. this one is fully constructed with foam board alone.. she spans in to 27 inches.. 7 inches beam extreme.. with all needed specs like flasing beacons and siren.. gunsound.. etc.. starts on bare foam board..
-
you can see how easy to make a boat from foam board..
-
each and every part are from foam board.. place it.. and glue it..
-
now the hull is complete.. and fillis the gaps with PU putty..
-
sealing inside with NC putty.. diluted with NC thinner.. or can also use PS grey..
-
sorry for server down..
prop again from aluminum sheet.. and scoop is copper tube..
motor cooling method.. simply with aluminum channel..
-
as a fast craft.. keeping the super structure as low as possible..
primed..
-
careful masking and painting..
-
now almost complete..
and lights on..
-
siren circuit is based on IC NE 555 timer.. and done on a piece of paper..
-
overhead beacon is made of foam board, and L E D strip was driven by a simple NE 555 and CD 4060 combination..
-
now ready for mission..
with all battery packs she weighs about 1100 grams..
-
now mission time..
-
she is nice one.. to see and in performance..
-
at night..
-
here is the cool action..

What a cracking model Roopesh, you are undoubtedly a most imaginative and skillful modelmaker of the first order. I am in awe of your electronic skills O0
The handling is superb - and in reverse too! it's hard to believe how well you've made her handle with a handcut aluminium prop and a homemade propshaft - how long it lasts will only be proven with time but it just goes to show you don't always need an expensive state of the art super dooper specially balanced / pitched brass prop!!
Well done and happy new year to you. Regards, Tony.

hi,
very nice boat, :-))
can you show how you connected the siren ( diagrame to the ne555s ) and what parts used
thanks david

Tony Sir, the bicycle spoke/nipple combination lasts for years.. only thing that we have to do is, that to apply coconut oil, just before the RCying, in to the oiling point, and must wash the craft with fresh water after RCying as my lake is situated near to sea,(salt water), and after drying, we must drops the 2T engine oil, in oiling point, and just at the gland of motor.. lasts years.. all of my crafts still working fine, and after years of RCying, the only thing that we have to replace are the nipples and the spoke itself.. costs about half a Dollar.. !!.. one of the great advantage of hand made aluminum/brass props is, can alter the blade pitch according to motor/battery ratings.. gives maximum performance all the while.. long running time..
the siren is based on a simple circuit, that i completed on a piece of a thick paper.. can make within some minutes.. will add the circuit.. it is capable of making lots of variation from gun shot to ambulance as we alters the two presets with a screw driver.. the siren was switched by a 9 gram servo.. circuit follows..
thank you all for the great inspiration.. HAPPY NEW YEAR ALL..
-
respected Friends.. sorry for the delay in adding the circuits.. lost my connection..

Hi Krishna most times your modeling & designs leave me speechless(hard to do to an Irishman)The seeming simple way you create bits & pieces from just about nothing amazes me, all the more so as I have trouble lighting a bulb. Keep it coming, it is a great education to us all. Mick B.
