Hey everyone, been building the deans marine mv muirneag and have finnally finished her. Here are a few pics of my ship!!!

Here are a few more pics and her maiden voyage in the Atlantic!!!

This ship has working lights and working flood lights that work indepent. It also has working twin radar beams, engine sound, and horn all on micro switchs. Along with the main engine I also installed a bow thruster. I really was amazed how well it performed on the water.

What a super job you have done. It would have been nice to have seen a complete build thread. It is a beautiful boat you have there, enjoy. Mick B.

Fantastic job on the build. I'd love to have this kit but don't have the space at the moment.
What is the model in the background?

Thanks everyone for your kind words. Hey wartsilaone, the model in the back ground is my new project just getting started. It is the maersk anglia ro/ro. Another deans marine kit. So far I have the hull trimed and the twin propshafts installed. I will try to post so pics on hear of that build. As for the mv muirneag I did post that build on the deans marine forum site. http://www.deansmarine.co.uk/index.php?topic=409.0 (http://www.deansmarine.co.uk/index.php?topic=409.0) Happy building to everyone!!!! :-)

Hi Dennis
I like ferries so your build gets my vote. I liked the lights and thought you could light up the lorry cabs and sidelights too ... maybe ... sometime?

Thanks Dave, I already have lights inside the cab. The pics where taken during the daytime so some of the lighting doesn't show up. Altogether there are about 50+ leds on her. Wish it had been just alittle darker so you get a better idea of how it really appears. Will be taken her out for another spin at night so will have more pics.

Nice work shop by the way :}

Yes! Great model, fantastic pictures. I have been waiting to see this model built for some time as I would love to have one myself and yours really look fantastic! Hope to see more pictures of her running, and perhaps a video? Congratulations!
All the best!

Well I don't want to rush you Carl but I dare say there'll be a few more once you go into production.

Thanks everyone for the kind words. As far as the paint goes I used humbrol paints for this one. Seem to work good. I used the enamels as it was easier for me to use in the airbrush. As for primer I used an auto motive enamel gray base to prime everything with.
