Hi,


I am currently working on positioning my speaker for my P100 in model slipways Tamar.


At present all I can think of i building a sound box into the bow infront of the bow thruster or creating a bridge over my 'electrics table' which is in the mid of the boat between the motors and bow thruster.
 
The 2 parts I fear issues with are if I put it in the bow it will be to heavy and if I put it over my other electrics (P94, fuse boards, P100 & amp ect) will the magnet cause any issues?


Any help appreciated and anyone who has built it with a speaker in some advice?

It's where I've put my speaker.  You only need to mount it vertically on a piece of plywood which can be clipped in position. This will seal the rear of the speaker so no need for any boxes behind it.

Sorry Ken, which one are you referring to?


Vertically down between the deck and hull facing forward?

It's around a third of the way back from the bow and mounted vertically with the cone facing the stern. Of course there must be deck above the rear of the speaker to form the enclosure.

The only problem  (I've found) is that the sound is then muffled by the cabin above.  Soooo I leave the door open to let the sound out when showing off.  I turn it off when sailing.   %)

Thanks for your help Ken, by saying the word vertical made me re think totally, I was only thinking horizontal!


Once in place it will be made removable so I can access the servo.. also no need to worry about electrics or weight at the very front!
