THanks for your warm welcome. I fully agree with and support your policies. I have been modelling since 1961 ( off and on) as time permitted and completed about 12 fairly decent models. Mostly Model Shipways plank on bulkhead or solid hull versions. I  have increased my skills with each, but still believe that I am a novice, especially when I see what others have done. Nevertheless, I want to learn and improve my skills , as well as share what I have learned with others. In fact, I answered one gentleman's query about a procedure to make yards. I described how I do mine using a makeshift lathe procedure.I find it very quick and accurate. I currently wish to finish a version of the HMS Victory based on a Mamoli 1:90 kit. I worked on it from 1985 to 1992 and completed about 3/4 of the hull. It needs some repairs  and modifications before I start any actual construction. I am amazed to see how much help and information there is online to assist in this process. I look forward to the process. In fact, I visited Portsmouth in 1992 and took many useful photos ( sorry- not digital then ) that I refer to as needed. I will pick out a few examples and post it soon.
