You are making a great job of her Ian. :-))

Hi Ian, the tug looks great so far :-)) Bit new to all of this so are you glassing the hull to take a mould from or are you glassing the hull as the finished hull? If so then what glass matt would you use and fibreglass resin. Do you ' waterproof ' the inside of the hull as well? Regards, Dave.

hi mate . to be honest im new to all this too ... i have fiber glassed the hull and sanded it . then used filler . then more fiber glass then more filler then more fiber glass then more filler . and i have bought shares in the local sand paper company lol .... well thats what it feels like any way ... the fiberglass matt and resin is a top quality one from the local boat yard ... not cheap halfords stuff .. i have also fiberglassed the inside of the hull to make it waterproof . then i have added cement to 1 make it solid !! also to use for ballast . the shape of the hull and size of it . will take loads of cement to bring her down to the water line ! ill keep the pics coming as im going :-) thanx for all the interest guys

A really interesting build this Ian - watching closely. Just out of interest, why 2? Thought doing 1 would be tough enough!

Hi Ian,
The build is progressing well.
Is that a model of one of the old Conservancy Board Vessels in the background?
The green hulled one I mean. I cant remember what she was called.
