Title: The Old Sailor
Post by: Bob K on February 23, 2013, 10:41:08 am
Ever had one of those days when there are several things you could be making progress on your model boat, until you realise that to start of that item you’d need a part/tool that you don’t have?
Moving on to something else you find it really needs more research, or the item above should be done first, the wife will be home soon and require me to break off immediately, or you have to wait till the epoxy sets . . .

The danger is that a whole day can pass in the workshop without any real progress being made.  It reminds me of AA Milne’s famous “The Old Sailor” poem.

Excuse me while I curl up in my blanket.  I am having an Old Sailor Day    %%

What a nice poem. Oh yes, I have plenty of Old Sailor days but it's a hobby and I can enjoy thinking about it as much as doing it sometimes.
