Post by: sjoormen on February 28, 2013, 04:19:54 pm
I watched these clips and I am amazed by skills of these guys. Btw -Question about wood How is it prepred -just milled like it was done lets say fifty years ago or there are modern techniques (CNC) involved?

They refer to Bluenose II, surely the existing one is #2 . Any new one will be  Bluenose III

there it stands that this is restauration but it seems to me more like new build as she has  new keel and everything.  %%  Well what do I know.

Like Granny`s broom, had it for years ..three new shafts and four new heads but she said it was the same broom.   It is a fine vessel, saw her in full sail off Nova Scotia some years ago. Magnificent sight.
