That is a lot of sail for the size of the boat!
She would be good for lighter conditions, but needs some of that sail area furling to be manageable in more wind without breaking something...

Here are some posts on the Youpi. Very pretty yacht all seem to agree :-) . Meatbomber says his kit has some quality issues (2011, maybe better now?).

Mr.Penguin, I agree that furling would be nice. It's pretty much mandatory for my RC squareriggers. Nobody steers well when heeled way over. However, I  don't think the Youpi is going to break because it has a mostly scale keel. The leverage of it's ballast, with it's short lever arm, might not be too much. Thus, the boat could heel easily and spill the load, preserving the rig.

Hello

I know many designers who YOUPI this is a very popular boat, there are competitions with. It is very sensitive to wind but it is possible to remove the veil from top (arrow). Or having a kit of sails for heavy weather. Well constructed and piloted it is a very good boat, very manoeuvrable.
Many modelers buy the basic kit and make their arrangements themselves.
It is true that the kit comes complete finishing needs to be improved

Thanks all for quick replies :-)) . I noticed Youpi because it is very similiar by design to my Tuiga. And as I mentioned I really like these designs. :}
