Ha, How strange is that, Just read those replies after my one, looked out the window and the rain has turned to snow!
Here in West Sussex now but it's still pretty warm so can't see it settling too much.

Snow here in Oxford, hope it goes by Monday have a 100 mile drive to go to Mums funeral
-
Only about a foot errrrr 305mm or for the kiddies and dressmakers 30.5cm. Cars still driving about despite they're not having gritted roads. Only wish the numpties would clear ALL the snow off their vehicles before driving.
Regards Ian.

What is it? {:-{ {:-{ {:-{
Is it some weird phenomenon associated with the northern hemisphere. O0 O0 O0

It's what we use for keeping tinnies cool O0 - - - in summer

White stuff that falls from the sky, closes schools and roads and makes cars lie on their roofs
with their wheels in the air as soon as there is more than 1/2" or 13mm on the ground.
Ned

LOL, how true.
The snow has actually broken the rear wiper on the citroen in the above pic :( Going to get the lad out to try and clear it.
Si:)
-
I too wish that drivers would clear the snowdrifts off the roof of their cars, its only going to do 2 things, 1. slide over the windscreen the first time you brake hard, or 2. blow off onto the car behind, either way not nice for the driver that suddenly cant see.
for £0.99 you can get a cheap dustpan and brush, which can help you clear the snow off your car in a couple of minutes (brush it off or shovel it off in the pan- soft enough to not damage your car)

According to PC Plod, it's illegal to drive an Igloo, as is using a mobile phone while driving. Having said that, they probably can't see the igloos going past, perfect camouflage.

Well, although freezing cold and pretty windy, as yet Whitley Bay hasn't had any snow/rain/hail or sleet (yet).
But I wonder how that coaster thing on the Farnes is doing in these near gale force easterlies. BY.

If anyone near Runcorn is looking in ... What is it like in the untrodden areas and is it snowing? I am working there tonight and trying to second guess if part of my job will not be possible.

We don't need to keep our tinnies cool the water does that for us.

Not complaining - doing a roaring trade in snow shovels and rock salt. That's the third person who's been in saying that they have one in the garage, but need one to get at it!
