Title: BID-D-J96-FINISHED AND READY FOR HER DUNKING.

The Big D is all finished, painted/weathered and is ready for her bath test and then for her big plunge on the lake-this will be a couple of weeks off as I am away over Easter, this will give chance for the paint to fully dry and harden.
Some piccies of her including a dodgy repair to the cracked top of the hull-intentional-the repair not the crack, this was to show a hasten repair-she is a working boat so needed a quick turn-around to get back to sea.

Now that is a working boat :-)) good weathering technique.

Hi Sir
Looks just as grungy as a lot of the old Snibbys working out of Grimsby years ago.
One thing though. Bring the anchor inboard or else (in real life) the first bit of sea
And a fluke would be straight through the hull.
That's constructive critisism though. I think you have done a good job depicting an
Old inshore boat.

Thanks Ray, she does look ready for anything and looks like she has bee through everything lol.

Hi Ned, glad you like her, I too remember the boats at Grimsby-they did look like that a high wind and the structure would just collapse lol. I have left enough chain on the anchor to have it outside or tuck inboard, so thanks for the heads up on that.

I find the finishing style to your boats so ammusing, theyre all some variant of clapped out or kna***red! This one isnt long for the breakers yard either!

LOL, yep you are so right Mike. The boat does look like they will go out fishing and either sink or, if they make it back, should be cartered off for scrapping. But I love em. Got a large 34'' barge to look at...this one will have slight weathering, not over the top...I hope. Seagull poo...now theres a thought  ;)
