I am in the process of rebuilding a 1/32 Perkasa 36 ins with 3 shafts each powered with a Mtroniks Vision Speed 600 which I guess is the same as Graupner Speed 600 and I am having problems deciding on the prop size.I intend to run on 7.2 volt batteries
Propshop recommend WW2 type 30mm diameter 3 blade 2 no. left hand & I no. right hand after I made enquiries with their technical dept.
The supplier of the motors is advising that I fit 40mm 3 blade Raboesch.
Of course I am now confused and what do the Forum members advise, I like my boats to go like stink.

Welcome to the mayhem! :-))
From my personal experience with propellers I would go with the advice from propshop. I have spoken to them in the past and their recommendations have always produced the desired results for my boats.
They are of course a lot more expensive than the standard brass prop from any other supplier but you are paying for very good quality cast bronze props. My CMB and Fast Attack Boat HMS Velocity go like stink!

I think someone told me that the diameter of the prop should not exceed the diameter of the motor if that helps! Small diameter props and fast revving motors seem to be the answer, I'm sure some of the other members of the forum would be able to tell you more, I haven't used a modelling model for a little while, I primarily use car heater motors due to the large models I build so you can imagine the size of my props! ok2
