Well, Alma the barge had her first outing this morning, breazy but she worked fairly well regarding power until the steering went :(( The waves coupled with the wind caused one of the rudder lines to come away so I had steering on one side. Managed to get her to shore and Stan fished her out, he had a look and the suggested I replace with pushrods as the push pull wasn't upto it, also need to cut a hole at the back for access to the rudder. Need to ballast the front as even with batteries she is riding low at the back...but we live and learn...hopefully :embarrassed: The guys and gals at the club were great and really helpful and great to talk to, made me feel very welcome, so a big thank you to them.
Si:)
