Hi all. Sorry its taken so long to introduce myself but been busy building. You may well ask why I decided to build a model boat and the answer is this: March last year I managed to break my hand and can no longer play the Banjo and Guitar so felt a new interest was needed. Then a few months later I broke my knee (not a good year for me) and while doing some rehab walking I went to the local park which had a lake and saw some model powered boats in use. This is where I must have lost my mind because I decided to build one and have a go myself. I'm having great fun and will more than likely need help along the way. Cheers for now bye.

Hi Linda.
welcome aboard the SS Mayhem. Are you in a position to post some pix of what you are building I am sure we are all curious to know what it is you are slaving over (apart from the kitchen sink which don`t count). We promise any comments will be polite.

Greeting Linda!
Welcome to the Mayhem!
Well I can't play the Banjo or the Guitar but that's got nothing to do with a broken hand....
I broke 2 knees once, while skiing but fortunately they were other people's knees!
(just joshing ;) )
Hope the recover is going well - what boat are you building or interested in?
Martin :-)

Hi Linda, welcome aboard :-))
Broken hands and knees ouch that sounds painful,
when I fractured my wrist I asked my doctor if I would be
able to play the guitar when my wrist got better,
he said of course you will, which I thought was great
as I could not play one before {-) {-) {-)
sorry Linda I could not resist that one

Hi Linda. I'm not a musician either, I play the drums. Slightly more relevant is I am a member of the Southend club who sail at southchurch park. There's a sail regatta there this Sunday if you fancy a visit. There are a few female members ( they usually are the ones leading the sailing races). So why not come down & introduce yourself, we are a friendly bunch & can be quite helpful too sometimes.
