On 6s lipo power it's one of those boats that you need to bring the power on gradually otherwise this happens.

Hi your Blackjack 29 looks good, have you had any running problems on 6s yet. Iv'e been running mine on 6s since May this year, however I know other boaters with the blackjack who are having problems on 6s lipo. The 1800kv motor can get hot and overheat. I limit mine to 5min run times and this seems to help. Horizon hobby who are the distributors are of the opinion that if you run the Blackjack on 6s you should be using the 1500kv motor and not the 1800, which makes no sence as the blackjack comes with the 1800kv motor as standard. I'm wondering if anybody else has had temperature issues with the motor on 6s?
Regards

Hi can I say ive had problems to with the blackjack 29 ran it saturday brought back in smoking inside found out wires from motor fused together sent motor back to horizon they said I shouldnt be using 1800kv on 6s lipo motor should be 1500kv or if using 1800kv to use 2x2s lipo.
sent motor back they replacing with 1500kv if they can find one I asked the question why is there a 1800kv motor in then they didnt want to commit themselves to say why.
they did say that theres to much heat build up on 6s.
I have now purchased a little water pump connected to battery after running connect to esc so runs around motor for few mins to cool all down.
has anyone else had any problems with motor cables burn out.
thanks paul

Blimey Eastrop park has changed!I last sailed there when I lived in Basingstoke so since I left in 85 that is quite a while ago!
Always had a major weed problem in the summer when I sailed there.

Nice boat, got a couple fast electrics too, one being a Pro Boat Stiletto 29 which I think is really nice and well put together, done a few improvements as found on the web to make it more reliable especially to the outboard lubrication to shaft / flex shaft drive.
