Title: break during airbrush work
Post by: Ted_H on May 27, 2013, 09:48:55 pm
Thanks to Gary on here (essex2visuvesi) I've now been able to take up airbrushing.
However as you all know your just half way through a pint when someone else requires your services.. !
Am I able to just put the job to one side to carry out the important tasks, or do I need to empty and clean before I leave the airbrush.. I wouldn't like to come back to a blocked nozzle.
Thanks Ted :police:

My response would be,

Shout ''I'll be down in a minute love'' then finish the job.

I meant paint ... not pint ... though that would be bad to be called away from too !

It depends on the paint you are using, but I tend not to leave paint standing in the airbrush especially acrylics.  I ruined one airbrush when using acrylics when I decided to go for a quick smoke before cleaning it. (not one of the ones I sold you I might add :) )
With regards to cleaning... an ultrasonic jewellery cleaner is great.
This is the one I have:-

You can of course get a smaller one.  The have the added bonus of being useful for many other uses as well (including cleaning the wife's 'bling')
