Title: Schottel drives on a Sub
Post by: essex2visuvesi on May 30, 2013, 10:19:49 am
I'm planning ahead on another sub build.... well more of an idea really

sketching plans for a freelance research type sub... I was going to scratchbuild a rotating motor pod system for control but then I saw these while looking for something else

Got me thinking could I mount 2 of these horizontally to give and up down pitch and mix the 2 throttles tank style to give rudder control

It might be easier if I post up a sketch of the initial designs

Isn't that what they call 'vectored drive' or propulsors?
