Title: Huntsman
Post by: chris senior on May 30, 2013, 08:37:20 pm
Hi Shipmates, My first time posting, keeping fingers crossed, I'me currently building the 34" fibre glass hull version of the Huntsman and would welcome any advice regards which motor, ESC, and battery pack, I had thoughts on using a 700 turbo motor ,a Viper 25 ESC and 2 x 6v 2100mah batteries, I don't have any intention of racing round the lake, just a pleasant couple of hours on a Sunday, thanks for looking and i'll await some good advice, chris senior

good choice of model , ive currently got four of them ! two have been fitted with twin shafts , one with brushed 700s the other with twin brushless motors , im about to start one of the other two which i will fit with a single brushless motor , not sure of the fourth hulls fate yet , ive seen a prototype i may copy !

Thats my build with a single 800Kv brushless on 22.2v Lipos 35mm prop

I had to mess with the soft start settings on my ESC as enthusaistic use of the throttle will put her over on her back

i will keep you posted , im waiting to get some new propshafts made up , the spear varient has destroyed the slimline shaft bearings inside a seasons running , so going for ballraced heavy duty units in both that one and the next two hulls as they will all be brushless . its just the debate of what to do with the "spare" fourth hull , it will either become a fishing boat ( along the lines of those in weymouth )  or a prototype .
