Title: Mankind’s Greatest Tech Achievements

Mankind’s Greatest Technical Achievements

What are mankind’s greatest technical achievements over the course of history?
Forget the invention of fire or the wheel.  Think bigger.
  However, IMO, the greatest technical challenge mankind has still to find an effective solution for how to fully waterproof the hulls of model boats.  When discovered it could instantly make lakeside large syringes obsolete.

I hope to see it in my lifetime.  We live in exciting times !

That'll be the day...no more...tilt, suck, squirt, or just turn the boat upside down and watch the gallons poor out her  {-)

The World Wide Web has certainly become a pivitol instrument for solving model boat problems  O0     Perhaps we should nominate Martin to the Nobel Committee?

Tools, baht them nothing else is achievable. From a simple heavy lump to break things with to pointy tools to poke things with. Tools and their usage separate the species.

True,

 I'll like to therefore nominate The Hammer, aka, Glasgow wrench, aka, Dockyard Adjuster, aka, the Birmingham precision instrument!

Agree with Dave, the corkscrew is a great invention!
but there is better than Bordeaux..................;

But the greatest invention this is my wife! :-))
It replaces all the machines and when I disconnect the battery it makes more noise       O0
