How would this go for a replacement motor in a 26cc gas boat?

Yes it should work but looking at the price of the motor, then add the price of the esc and the monster batteries you'd need. I'm guessing the total price would be more than a replacement gas engine.
Unless of course there are other reasons for loosing the gas motor
