Title: Hot weather
Post by: sparkey on July 16, 2013, 06:37:11 pm
Hi, everybody how are you all getting on with this hot weather too hot to go boating and too hot in the shed, the water levels in the lakes will be dropping fast and the weeds will be growing super fast making it very hard for us boaters, best thing to do is enjoy the sun in the garden with a nice ice cold beer as we might not see another hot summer for about ten years, let us know what you do in this hot weather,Ray.

It's almost full time on the Allotment garden for me and SWMBO - the weeds are growing BIG time ! (wish I could find a market for them...)

Regards,

Ray.

Definitely too hot- to work, spent the entire afternoon sweating like there is no tomorrow inside a hangar working on one of the Tornadoes. It was fine in the morning but the heat built up here in Norfolk. The BAe management say that we are not allowed to have our overalls tied at our waists because of the dreaded H&S laws! Would  much prefer to be in our boat shed, its nice and cool in the will all the insulation! :-))

It's also why I liked being in the Falklands, nice and cool there at the moment! {-)

Take while we have it, absolutely glorious. The wolf don't like it much as the new garden doesn't have much shade. Oh well, the price you pay.

Very warm, the lake is down by 9inch or so and the scum be a growing. Boating isn't too bad if you take it easy.

Not doing too much at the moment, just relaxing  :embarrassed:

There is a reason for the current hot weather, it is an EU rebate for our almost total lack of summer last year.
Can anyone remember if summer was on a Tuesday or Wednesday in 2012 ?

I keep trying to get in the shed, but my min/max thermometer says it's been up to 33 degrees and not dropped below 16 degrees in there this week. I can manage about 15 minutes per session at the moment. I'm thinking of getting up early and spending time in there before breakfast, while it's still relatively cool.

Prefix on the Meridian Line.
Slight breeze of the sea to cool things down.
Had an hour with my Marblehead in a nice breeze
last night while grand boy sailed his Piranha.
Today sailed my Victoria in company with tugs fast electrics
and a couple of springers and fishing boats
Nice breeze off the N Sea keeping the temps OK

Yep , at least here in the Scottish Highlands, interspersed with thunderstorms and torrential rain showers then back to tropical temperatures.  Reason for not in the news...some woman had a bairn >:-o
