Anxiously awaiting postman pat to deliver my new kit of the Arizona from TT1.
This is the start of a new fleet for me, after coming back to the UK. The new garden shed is almost tidied up for building and the wolf has done his inspection and approves, mind it could be abit cooler. Not complaining, he had a good swim at hightide last nite in Barrow.

Arrived safe and sound with postman pat today...but still too hot to venture down the back 40, besides, dog hair flying everywhere. Just a note, if you want a big fluffy dog, buy a big hoover for the fur when he molts, you'll need it.
Stay tuned for the build diary. Most likely do it right out odf the box with no upgrade sets.

Great kit well worth the money. Have on order the 1/200 Missouri from Trumpeter not bad size 53.5 inch and 6.75 beam. Both should go well with the1/200Yamato.

Just got round to going through the kit...in a word, Wow %% . Good thing there is electric in the shed, I'll need lots of tuneage and a kettle. TT also supplied me with all prop shafts, motors, motor mounts, couplings and brass propellers.
First step, wash all plastic bits in warm soapy water to remove any releasing agents. Hope the missus isnt in the tub. {-)

Hi rem what about the mighty Mo in 1/200 scale. Should be just right with the Arizona and the Yamato just need time to build all three

All bits have now been washed in warm water with mild dish detergent. I have order the upgrade kit from emodels, and expect it with a few days. I have purchased all the correct Humbrol paints...just waiting for the shed to cool down...oh its cool now. {-)

OK all you paint experts, I was looking through the biblical conversion chart last night and couldn't find a RAL number for Navy Blue Humbrol 77. The reason is we found this shop in Bridgewater call Buyology, good one eh, and they have a line of aerosol paints called Army Issue and one is RAL 7031, called battleship grey, but I was trying to confirm the conversion, can anyone help?
I'm doing a test on the two to see the comparison. :-))

Yeah I saw the WEM site, but going pretty much out of the box. Thanks for the comment though Mr Shanks.
Doing the build similiar to Dicky D, RIP, and article from MB couple years back when the kit was released.
I have to do some refitting of my lighting in the shed, as the sun seems to be setting earlier, only a couple weeks til the little darlings go back to higher learning.

WoW it worked, resizer I mean, downloaded one this am, but had to go to the work thingy,

Are you able to advise what running gear, size and length, shafts, props and motor type.

Yeah, I can do, bought the kit and running gear off TTtony on here, haven't really looked to closely but all is there, will measure up tomorrow after the office, bit chilly out there now.

Max length on shafts is 12 inch. Got mine from S H G in the midlands hope this helps.

The window needs to be behind the photographer pointing towards the boat to stop the glare.

I think it may have something to do with too many pcs in the house and the lad is running an ipad, I keep getting a message for connection problem and that was one pic at 70 kb! Going to try my Photobucket.

...sorry no, its not, been too cold over the winter in the shed and now SWMBO has my weekends booked with redoing our new garden, Arizona still has her keel laid and work will recommence shortly, need my mojo re-ignited O0

I am sure you have just laid out the propeller's next to the shafts....... %) for a visual :-))
But look again they are not in the correct positioning for the respective shafts rotation...... ok2

...absolutely correct mate, I was going to suss them out correctly...hopefully have some putter time this weekend, after taking a few loads of old concrete to the tip...going green in the garden for the sake of the wolves.

Do you already know how you will have access to the rc gear inside? I curious on just what superstructure parts will be removable and how you plan on keeping them together while in use. I guess maybe magnets??
