Title: scale buildings
Post by: destroyer42 on July 29, 2013, 10:11:30 am
Hi All,
Regarding building docks and harbours for model boats.
What scale do you use bearing in mind that model boats are of different scales, do you use something in between as I'm currently building a dock complex for the club and I'm not sure what scale to use to cover most models any ideas?

Maybe 1:50 - 1:32.
You can also build oversized docks, and undersized buildings.
I certainly wouldn't want to start building cranes at 1:32, or 1:24.

Here is a photo of a 1:87 dock with a 1:48 SDM tug, and a 1:24 Tito Neri.

A Playmobil crane, 1:22.5 and a 1:20 scale tug.

Doing really well, Thank you Colin.
Those Playmobil pieces aren't typically cheap.  :((
Business keeps picking up, and has about reached a point where I
worry if it will become too much.

And Regatta season has begun, so I have three more events to either run, or participate in over
the next three weeks. Getting things ready for those events makes this time of year even busier.

Spokane, Washington, last weekend.
