Hi All
Does anybody know where I can obtain material for a wooden grooved mast ? I recently aquired an old plan built yacht which needs both sails and masts
            Cheers

Sounds as if you're going to have to make these yourself, you'll need a good clean piece of sitka spruce (if you can get it!!) or ordinary spruce and the masts will have to be made in two halves, this would also allow you to hollow out the centre to allow the halyards to run up the inside if the mast, very impressive!!!? Try Dennis Nixon, in Norfolk, Tel.01953 457051, he runs a mail order company specialising in model boat timber.

Cheers

John
