Title: Joysway Offshore Warrior Lite.
Post by: victor on August 21, 2013, 09:50:55 AM
Quick dumb question about the Warrior Lite. I have just picked up a warrior lite from a charity shop for a few pounds. All OK apart from a broken drive, easily fixed, probably make up a wire drive.
It's an older 9.6v 3 blader and I just wondered if there was any difference, performance wise. between the older 9.6v / 3 blader and the current 7.2v / 2 blader. I have a couple of 1500 / 7.4 Lipos doing nothing at the moment.
Thanks,
Victor.

Sorry if I got things wrong but I understood that the earlier Lite versions of the Warrior and Rider had 9.6v batteries and a 3 bladed prop. The later versions seem to have 7.2v packs and a 2 blade prop. They share the brushed 480 flat motor.

Hi Victor,

Not knowing the size and pitch of both props, my guess is the 9,6V version with the three blade prop had less pitch than the two blade on 7,2V.
The resulting speed would be most likely similar, the coarser pitch of the two blade may give it a quicker acceleration.

Regards, Jan.
