Nothing can ever compare to  led zeps original but this was a great rendition! but note how many were involved in Hearts version!

was anyone on here at the famous Led Zeppelin Deep Purple double bill at the Mountford Hall gig, Liverpool in (either) late 1970, early 1971.........was my first year at college down there.......and a lot of beer has dulled the brain cells since then.
 
Now that was a gig to remember....my ears nearly bled,  {-) {-) {-) {-) {-)
 
couldn't hear a lecturer for 3 days at college, %% %% %% %%
 
been a fan ever since.

1972 Free, Deep Purple, Principle Edwards, Cochise and others............Top Rank Sunderland (one of my few ventures into the 'dark place' but I braved crossing over the border into the land of the great unwashed for the sake of art.  And all for the princely sum of 50pence a ticket.  How much would a line up like that cost these days?

Good cover, but nothing compares to the original version. Saw Heart back in the day in Canada, they were a great live band. Missed the Led Zep tour in '75 I believe as Robert Plant's son had died in a car accident. I did see Plant and Page in 95 on the No Quarter tour at Glastonbury, it was the afternoon of the Molson muscle.
My favourite live gig from the 70s was probably ZZ Top, Lynryd Sknyryd came a close second and Rush played my high school.
Can only turn it up loud when SWMBO ain't in the car.

BTO came out of The Guess Who. Randy Bachman formed the band in the twilight days of the Guess Who and enjoyed some success, saw them in our local ice hockey arena in Brantford, poor acoustics but it was loud enough and they were a powerful band. Randy's tastes our now more jazz influenced and he hosts a program on CBC radio.
