just got a boat hull which is 32in long and 13in wide what size motor and volts to use its going to be my first model from hull upward and any help would be helpfull

A 12 volt system is usually a safe bet with tugs. You may need some power.   %)

Regarding the motor size , this is rather vague at this stage.  The best thing to do is look at where the propeller goes and calculate it's diameter between the rise of the hull and flat on the bench. This will give the size of the motors diameter.  A bit of a rough idea but a good theory.   ;)

Yet another rule of thumb that recently came my way said that there should be 1mm of prop diameter for each inch of length.  So about a 35mm prop.  If its a tug, probably considerably more, and more motor than the normal "rules of thumb" call for, because tugs have to shift whatever they are tied too, as well.
