Title: servo help

hello,
these of you who know me .know i am very new to rc,i know very very little,my question is can the turn on a servo be reduced,to say 35 degree.
i am trying to tip the hopper box from the back of my boat.

Yes ,don't push the Transmitter lever so far.

That's one way of doing it, not pushing the lever as far.
An easier method would be planning out your linkages to use the full servo moment but it act on a longer lever so as to lose the motion in the process. Using a different hole nearer the middle of the servo on your arm does something similar. Using a couple of collets and a spring would be another way of losing some of the excess movement.


Some transmitters have an EPA (end point adjustment), rates adjustment (reduces motion by percentage across the range).
It all depends on what you're trying to achieve.

If the hopper is mounted direct to the servo, I reckon that the servo, if not a huge one, would struggle with a loaded hopper.  You get about 90°, using the servo arm as one lever and the hopper as the other lever, a 3:1 ratio of arm length will do the job.

It can be done with a small circuit board that allows you to set the start and end points of arm travel and the speed of movement, but the easier way is to control the servo with one of the rotary controls on a 6 channel transmitter.

thank you frank for the link,mrturbo, because i am new and green to rc,the only morphs i know were on kids tv,but i did look at your link,and thank you for that, thank you kinmel for your help,learning more each time ,thank you.
