Might try and buy some at Blackpool .What does the team think ,soft cooper or brass wire ?

The plans say to use part F22A which is 0.5mm copper and there should be 4 parts in the kit related to this number
In my kit there are 4 small reels of copper wire so I guess this would be the part to use :-))
The best way to get the wire straight is to put one end in a vice and pull it straight with a pair of pliers at the other end
Hope this helps :P
I agree with you though about the stantions - I think that I will swap mine for Billings brass one's

When I made the Smit Roterdam by Billings, it had brass stanchions and the copper wire. What I did was get Brass rod from my local model shop K@S metal centre. I did not even entertain the idea of the wire as it would be a nightmare to A, get it straight, B keep it straight. If you stanchions are white metal I would recommend upgrading to brass ones.
