Title: The Waverley
Post by: steve pickstock on October 22, 2013, 04:18:17 pm: Last Saturday in the rain at Rothesay before she made her way back up the Clyde for her winter berth. Taken by a friend of mine. Beautiful picture.

Post by: bill jardine on October 24, 2013, 02:36:20 pm: The pic of Waverley in the rain is puzzling me. It's a great shot, but I can't place where it is. If it is indeed Rothesay, then the pier has changed pretty dramatically over the last few years.
Can anyone put me out of my misery and identify where it is - I thought it might be the 'new' pier at Dunoon, but that doesn't look right either.

" Hi Derek, Someone showed me the thread on model boat mayhem regarding the Waverley, and I noticed you had a post. Later in the thread there is some confusion about the whereabouts of a picture, Rothesay or Dunoon. It is actually taken alongside Tighnabruiach pier in the Kyles of Bute. I'm not a member of mayhem but if you want, you can give them the correct answer!
BTW "Tighnabruiach" means "house on the hill" in gaelic! ...regards Clark"
