Title: Boat identification
Post by: rk295 on November 03, 2013, 07:49:38 pm
Hi,

I'm wondering if anybody could help me identify this boat. I've just bought it as a winter renovation job and thought initially it was a Aero kits Sea Queen or maybe a Commander. But now I look at it I don't believe it is either of those. Measures 29" in length which is a good 5" shorter than a Commander and way shorter than a Queen.

I believe the roof above the rear area was added on, it doesn't look like it like it was part of the original design.

Has apparently been sat in a loft for 40 years, if that helps age it!

Any thoughts or suggestions gratefully received!

Thanks Christian, just had a bit of a look and found an old KK catalogue with it in. 52 and 6, a bargain  ;)

Sparkey I don't like running so I think it'll be RC this time!

Now I know what it is, my next question is does anybody know where I could get a plan? Even a small digital file would suffice, just want to have a look at a couple of areas.

You can get them here, but I have to say I thought they were overpriced.

Try Jokita/Caldercraft, they had loads of the original kit plans and were selling at about 1/4 the price of the others.

Hi
I have a PDF file of the original plans and yes it is an AEROKITS  SEA ROVER.
The roof is part of the design.
