Hello!
As many other I decided to have a go at the 1:400 Queen Mary 2. When I opened the box I soon realized that I would never be able to do this kit justice, all those windows that needed trimming, all those tiny details to paint and so on. I then decided to make her into something different, a fantasy project. Therefore I trimmed off the "2" from her name and so she´s called "Queen Mary". She´s a mix of QE2 and QM2 i think. All the looks and features of QM2 obviously, and some similarity to QE2 with her lower profile and funnel aft.
I´m currently painting her decks and executing sea trials. Don´t know how many details she will get, but the lifeboats is a must.
Hope you like her!
All the best!

I must be getting confused hama.......I thought QM2 had stern AZI-PODS :} .........maybe too much red wine .......Derek

From Wiki
Propulsion: Four 21.5 MW Rolls-Royce/Alstom "Mermaid" electric propulsion pods: 2 fixed and 2 azimuthing

Hama did say it was a mix of QM2 and QE2, so it would seem the azipods have been replaced by conventional props.

Like Peter says, this is a new ship and the designers choose a more conventional propulsion system. In all, a product of my imagination and nothing to do with QM2. :-))
All the best!
