Nostalgia.
Nothing to do with boats except for the old shipping and ferries captured in background etc.
Poms did us proud. It's there for all to see :-)) :-)) :-))

.............The official opening of the Sydney Harbour bridge.........good footage RAAArtyGunner.... %)
The notable absence in this newsreel is the ‘De Groot incident’ where an officer of the New Guard, Captain Francis De Groot, on horseback, slashed the ribbon with his sword – beating the Premier to the task. De Groot was quickly escorted away by police and the ribbon was retied for the Premier’s official cutting of the ribbon.
Sounds something that a certain person known to me .... O0 would do {-) ....
They also fail to mention the injuries or fatalities that would not go unreported today...........also note not one safety belt or steel toe capped boot to be seen........Derek

Nice find, amazing that it only cost 10m pounds in 1932. I did a history inflation calculator thing. If that is 10m GBP then the equivalent today would be 590m. Excellent value.
Interesting to note that the cost overrun was about 60%, same as contracts today.
