hi all computer up and running again thanks to rottweller who lent me his BIG hammer so back on sales

2. Hammers are the worlds most versatile tool

An old workmate of mine has still got a MGC GT he bought over 30 years ago
over the years he has stripped the body had body and chassis sandblasted
all put back together and is like new, it his his pride and joy.

3. Adjustable wrenches can perform all the tasks of a hammer, and fasten nuts and bolts too ;)

Here's a little did-ya-know: The SRN4 cross channel hovercraft had Rotax starters for the four Proteus turbines. They were clockwork operated and as they wound down they would engage three contacts in turn to start the engine. However they used to get stuck quite frequently. A good whack freed them up.
Therefore it was not uncommon to start the four 3400hp gas turbines with the sole of one's shoe. %%

:-)) In the 1960s I had a morris minor 1000 which had a sticky fuel pump which was under the bonnet by the dash board,a good thump just above the speedo worked very time,happy modelling,Ray. :-)) :-))

That reminds me of Joe Don Baker the American actor, in the Bond film
where he played agent Jack Wade and he started his little car
by smacking it with a whopping great sledge hammer {-)
I can.t remember if it was Golden Eye or Tomorrow Never Dies.
Pierce Brosnan played Bond.
I must admit there have been times when I have felt like doing the same
to some of my past cars.

:o morris minor.....electric fuel pump......put the key in the ignition ...1/4 turn right ...wait for 15 tic, tic, tic.............tic, tic ...another 1/4 turn of the key then ignition <*< .....Derek

:-)) Hi,Derek,yes it did a lot clicking trouble was when it stopped the car stopped,as a poor apprentice I could not afford a new pump, alas I lost a lot of girlfriends when the car broke down every five mins,the only one who didn't run was SWMBO who got quite good at thumping the dash,those where the days,Ray. :-))

|Hi John.............had a couple of "C"'s.......roadsters..........lovely cars, but sadly now I have arthritic back neck and shoulders, could no longer drive them, and power steering was just too much to install at 3 grand a pop.
Just beautiful cars, but totally different in every way to my Healey 3000, of many years ago............the difference was amazing
