Title: sonic fish finder
Post by: sub john on December 30, 2013, 06:10:33 pm
HI All
Would like to wish every one a Happy New Year.
I have been looking into doing sonar for using under water as a depth gauge in the sense that it would be able to tell you depth of water below the keel under the sub. Don't know weather any of you guys have ever used one of those wireless fish finders, i have been looking into using one of these types of things, is there any one out there that has got one broken or got one that they would like to sell because even if i buy a new one i just won't to rip it to bits to rework it. The radio link side on these things is normally on 433MHZ that is not much of a problem to change and put on to lower frequency's to use under water.
       All the best Sub John
