I was scanning through the Hannants website (plastic modellers!) I found in their Future Release Section something I've been waiting for since they announced the 1/200 scale Bismarck.
New Release for 2014
Trumpeter 1/200 HMS Hood
No price yet but probably will roughly the same as the previous releases.
On another note they are also releasing a 1/350 scale HMS Abercrombie monitor. Looks like a good year for the plastic magic modellers amongst us. I've already preordered both! ;)

I have just put on back order the brass upgrade kit from Pontos Models via White Ensign for the 1/200 scale Missouri. Cost without the wood deck is about £150 but standard of the brass work is fantastic well worth the money. If time allows I will post web site information.

Hi everyone
I been speaking to Stan about the brass update sets for the Missouri which as a bench mark for when the Hood update set is released is amazing. If that's what's available now just imagine what the Hood set will look like. Hopefully the link below works, Stan emailed me the link and I've copied it in to this reply so fingers crossed this works!

I am currently building the Bismarck for a client, but not using the Pontos upgrade, and I'm wondering as to how the wooden deck is attached. Is it fixed to the plastic one? if so, surly it would be to high if that is the case.
Missouri and Hornet are next in line to be followed by the Hood.

The wood deck for the Arizona is self adhesive backed. The wood is very thin and just drops over all the mouldings that are raised in deck moulding will post some pictures later today.

Second set of pictures are for the Arizona. These wood decks give that final finish along with a brass etch set. The cost of these wood decks is around £80. Hope this helps.
