HobbyKing are not know for their after sales service but you should be OK.

Also, be careful when buying additional Rx fr you radios, they are not always fully comparable despite 'what it says on the tin'! .... but they're cheap and cheerful and work quite well if it works out of the box

There are no instructions in the box but if you are lucky, you can find their instructions on the HobyKing site.
Try these:

HOW TO BIND THE RADIO TRANSMITTER & RECEIVER.

1)      Connect 8 AA batteries inside your transmitter and leave it turned OFF.

2)      Connect your Motor to an Electronic Speed Controller (ESC) which has a BEC.

3)      Connect your ESC to your Receiver on Channel 3.

4)      Connect your Bind Plug to the Battery channel on the receiver.

5)      If you want to test a Servo, connect a Servo to Channel 1, 2, or 4.

6)      Connect a good charged Battery to your ESC. You might here a beep from your ESC (some ESC's do not beep) and your Receiver's red LED Light should start blinking. The LED is hidden under the sticker. The best way to see it is to turn the main receiver on the side with the connection to the second receiver pointed upwards. The LED can be seen blinking through the grey plastic receiver body just under the sticker. It cannot be seen through the sticker and is dammed hard to see in bright sunlight.

7)      While holding down the Bind/Range Test Button, turn on your Transmitter. After about 3 or 10 seconds the LED will stop blinking and you stop holding down the Bind Button.

8)      You should be able to control your motor and any extra servos you connected.

9)      Turn off the receiver, then transmitter & remove the bind plug.

10)   Turn on transmitter & receiver and the system should be operational.

11)   If not try it all again. Turning off the Transmitter and turning it on helps reset any errors.

I have 2 Hobby King radios and have never had a problem with them, and neither have any of our club members who own them. The 4 channel versions are easier to program than the 6 channel sets, as they have servo reversing switches on the front of the case. To reverse servo direction on the 6 channel sets you need to connect the Tx to a computer, unless the newer versions have been changed since I bought mine - about 4 years ago.

I've had a 4-channel set for years, never had a problem, Had a 6-channel for the past year, and again no problems.
Will be buying another 4-channel in the near future.
