Title: BIT O' SHIPPING AROUND FLEETWOOD
Post by: Neil on March 02, 2014, 06:04:18 pm
bit of shipping not normally seen in and around this now sleepy ex fishing port, most probably due to the fact that ABP (associated British Ports) refuse to dredge the channel.................hoping that all the yacht's and small vessels will abandon the Marina and then they can sell it off for house development............ooohhh I'm so cynical, lol

The MV Patricia, and the RN patrol launch ( I think) Charger,...............oh and yes the IOMSPCo Benn My Chree on her way to Heysham...
all these shots were taken on my little Canon 260 powershot and the Patricia and Benn were approximately 2,5 miles out in Morecambe Bay

Yup, that's HMS Charger. Those P2000's really are rubbish though - designed for 45kn, engined for 14 (apart from 2 which can hit 22)!

Nice pictures though! I've been out boating today but I think the only other people who would've considered going out were the RNLI!
