Does anyone know where I can get drawings or has drawings for her?

Plans for both the Queen Mary and Saint Columba are held at the National Maritime Museum in Greenwich, London. They have a website which will help guide you to the appropriate department where you can arrange to purchase copies of the sheets you require.

Hi Andrew thank you for taking the time to reply for my request.  Love the paddle/ steam turbine ships.

Your very welcome. I sail with the Model Steamer Club of Glasgow. Turbines and paddle Steamers are regularly sailed! I've attached a link to the Scottish Federation website where we have some pictures posted. We are hoping to have a proper web presence at some point. Also have a look at this YouTube film of an exhibition we were involved with last year Ship Ahoy. If you look carefully you will see the Queen Mary in twin funnel guise as part of the display. The exhibition is being held again this year on Saturday 5th of April aboard the Glenlee tall ship at the riverside museum in Glasgow. A wee run up the M74 and you'd be made most welcome.

Hi Andrew Thank you for taking the time to add to my requests!

I have a couple of Great Uncles that might pop along and have visit as my health isn't good for traveling at the moment.  They are the ones that got me interested in the clyde steamers!


Had a look at the video a nice collection of old steamers and not just the models!! {-) {-)

My father built a 48th scale model of the Queen Mary back in 1970 and he had a full set of plans for it from the NMM way back then. Stupidly, my mother and I gave them away after he died... ho hum.

Here it is in 1973 and yes, that's me on the left with the latest in R/C transmitters

  Hi  I bought a model of the Queen Mary a couple of years ago it is built in plastic card which in parts has become brittle, plans must be available, I was renovating from photographs nearly finished, she was not r/c but is now.
