At the risk of incurring the wrath of painting perfectionists, I would like to know if I can fill small defects missed before priming without locally removing the primer.
I have a bread-butter tug and have filled a few oopses with polyester 2 part filler with good effect. I thought that I had a fair result and have sprayed a coat of grey primer . There are a few small areas that are a bit low that I had missed.

The resin will soften the primer and it will end up like the builder's bog in the title i.e. soft and mushy. If you're not sure then do what they always advise in instruction leaflets and test it on a scrap piece first. It should be easy enough to sand away the primer anyway. Don't allow a moment of laziness during the finishing process spoil hours of dedication spent building the thing.
