Title: Marblehead ?.
Post by: TheLongBuild on May 26, 2014, 07:02:55 PM
Hello  :-))

Firstly , Is it a Marblehead ?.

I think I acquired this about 2009, and apart from some initial sanding removing of parts and purchasing new sails I have not done much else with it, mainly as it is to big for our pond. However I do attend shows where it can be used and feel that I want a bit of the action, and to give Mr Jay-Dee a run for his money (like I have any chance )  :}

Its Length is 129cm
max Width 31cm
Total depth to keel 57cm
keel length 43cm

Was wondering where the best place to get replacement masts from ?, this was has a bend in it and might be useful to know if I can not get it out. Was not thinking state of the art but a general self build none mega competition type.

Also I have looked around for general rigging plans but have found nothing really related to this type of hull, all seem to be these new types.

1992 sail measurement and an event mark from 1993 from fleetwood I would guess don't no what EMC stands for maybe European Marblehead Championship. Having said that the boat looks older and more primitive than boats of that age competing at that level.

Thanks for the info on the sails.
The sails are not original to the boat and were purchased from HouseMartin sails around 2009.  :-))
