Hi All , I am about to set my prop shafts into the hull on mt 1/24 scale perkasa , Can anyone tell me is there a prefered angle to set them to or set just to near center of the rudder as pos.
Thanks Dave

Just make sure the shaft alignment is correct from motor and coupling through the boat so its all in a straight line and make sure the propeller doesn't foul the hull or the rudder. I like to keep my shaft angle as shallow as possible, ie only a small clearance between hull and prop.

According to Vosper drawings the KD Perkasa shaft angle is 10 degrees. As Deadbeat stated the trick is to get it as shallow as possible, one thing to add is to leave a little extra space between the hull for a slightly larger diameter propeller than the one you have as you may want to do prop changes later. Also, fit a rigid tube over the flex coupling as that will help determine the motor mount position and keep everything dead straight whilst doing the job.
